EMIGRANTS FROM BRITAIN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Feb. 15, 5.5 pan. London, Feb. 14. Mr. L. C. Amery, replying to a question in the House of Commons, said the number of ex-service men, including women, assisted with money grants and free passages during the last half of 1921 was 5958, or including their families 11.158. Of the first mentioned number 882 proceeded to Canada, Z 427 to Australia, and 859 to New Zealand. Most of the emigrants went overseas with a view to working on the land, and comparatively few had experience and capital to enable them to settle on land of their own on arrival.—AuirN.Z. Cable Assn.
