In the House of Commons, Mr. Chamber lain said he thought the time has arrived for the appointment of a select committee of the House of Commons in Regard to its control over expenditure. ROYAL ALLOWANCES. London, Feb. 14. In the House of Commons Mr. Robertson (Labor) criticised the allowances made to the Royal Family and the expenditure on the Prince’s tours in India and elsewhere, when so many women and children were starving. He was sure the Royal Family was ready to participate in economy.
