DRIVERS’ AWARD.

APPLICATION TO COURT. By Telegraph Association. Dunedin, Last Night. An application was before the Arbitration Court this morning for a new award for assistant drivers and stable attendants. Mr. Cookson, for the employers, said the drivers’ award expired nex«t March, and he suggested the present claims be heard. When the award was reviewed previously this case was dealt with on a Dominion basis, and he held it should be now. The Court held that the* claims properly come under the drivers’ and there was no need for a separate award. The matter was adjourned, ‘ be brought up with the drivers’ award.
