A CHEMIST’S DEATH.
ENDS LIFE OF SUFFERING. By Telegraph.—l’ress Assn. Copyright. Received Feb. 12, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Feb. 12. At an inquest on Charles Winters, identified as a Wellington chemist, whose body was found in December with his head jammed between rocks at Watson Bay, the coroner found that death was ’due to asphyxia, possibly caused by poisoning, though an analyse failed to’ detect the presence of acid. Letters written by deceased to I his ■brother were read. Deceased stated in these letters that he had been discharged from the Liverpool hospital suffering from an incurable disease and he did not think it worth while continuing to bear the suffering all his ate. He had purchased poison and was going to end it all.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
