EANNER COMPETITIOJ. NO MATCHES ON SATURDAY. In view of the fact that the second day’s racing of the Taranaki Jockey Club’s autumn meeting takes place on Saturday, it has been decided to put the banner fixtures In the northern division back a week. The next matches will therefore take place on the 18th inst., and subsequent matches on the 25th inst., and March 11, 18. and 25. TOURNAMENT FINALS. At a meeting of the Taranaki Bowling Centre excutive on Tuesday evening it was resolved that the final of the tournament unust be played on the Fitzroy green by the 18th Inst. NORTH v. SOUTH MATCH. Arrangements are being made for the North v. South match, to ’be played at Stratford on Thursday. February 23. The southern team will be selected from clubs from Stratford to Pihama (both Inclusive), and the northern team from Inglewood to Opunake (inclusive). WANGANUI BOWLERS. VISIT DEFERRED. A telegram was received,, by the secretary to the Centre this u-norning from the Wanganui Centre stating that they had to postpone their visit to Taranaki till march.
