SUPREME COURT.
TARANAKI SESSIONS. OPENING NEXT WEEK. HEAVY LIST OF CASES. Cases set down for hearing at the forthcoming sessions of the Supreme Court in New Plymouth, opening on Tuesday next, make up a heavy list, and the sittings promise to be lengthy. There are eight cases on the criminal list, one for sentence and seven for trial. There are two divorce petitions. Three civil actions are listed for hearing before a jury of twelve, and one of these, a claim for £2500 damages, was prominently be fore the Court at the last sessions. There are fifteen other civil cases, four appeals, petitions in connection with the administration of estates, and bankruptcy matters It is understood that Mr. Justice Chapman will preside over the sessions. Arnold Onslow Sturrock, alleged indecent assault (three charges). Rang! Elers, alleged theft. James Collingwood, alleged indecent assault. CIVIL.
