The wages of clothing trades employees have been reduced by 6s a week for men and 3s for women as from February 1. The reduction is made in accordance with the terms of the adjustment clause of the Federal Arbitration Court award.

Newcastle, Feb. 7. Owing to eight moulders at Broken Hill steel works refusing to accept a reduction of wages, ’OOO men W’ill be thro n idle. The moulders were previously paid £6 10s a week, which ’s £1 over the award rate.
