JAPAN AND THE PRINCE.

ELABORATE PREPARATIONS. Tokio. Jan. 26. As Tokio lacks a modern palace which could be deemed a suitable home for the Prince of Wales, it has been decided to lodge the Royal visitor in the villa of Prince Kanin, regarded as the most luxurious home in Japan. It is about 40 miles outside the city, and a special train service will be maintained for the Prince. A fleet of 30 warships and an aviation squadron will greet the Prince at the Pescadores. The battleships Kongo and Mutsu will meet the Renrfwn at the limit of Japanese waters, and escort the .Prince to Yokohama.
