SERIOUS CHARGES.
SCHOOLMASTER GUILTY. By Telegraph.—Prose Association. Timaru, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day Mr. justice Sim was occupied all day hearThg charges of carnal knowledge and three charges of indecent assault on a firl of 13 against David Thomas Ford, aged 53, a schoolmaster at the Clandeboye school. The jury disagreed on the first charge, and found accused guilty •f indecent assaults. On this result, #y agreement between the Crown Prosecutor and counsel for accused t2e Jr own Prosecutor withdrew the first xharge and accused pleaded guilty to 'barges of indecent assaults on another firl of the same age.
