SUPREME COURT.

WANGANUI SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. * Wanganui, Feb. 7. The Supreme Court has opened. Mr. Justice Chapman referred to the fact that there were only four criminal cases which showed that the amount of crime in this district was small. Vivian Mclntosh, a young man, was found guilty of stealing a horse at Mangaweka, and was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment. Roy Lambess and C. Martis pleaded guilty to theft from the person, and were each sentenced to eighteen months’ imprisonment.
