THE RUGBY GAME. WALES AND SCOTLAND DRAW. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.^—Copyrigtt. London, Feb. 4. In the Rugby Union football match, Wales drew with Scotland, the scores being nine all. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assu. OPUNAKE CLUB. The annual general meeting of the Opunake Football Club was held on Wednesday evening. Mr. F. Julian presided. Tke -balancesheet presented showed a debit balance of £56 19s 6d. Mr. O. Hawken, M.P., was elected patron, and Mr. F. Julian president, some 75 prominent supporters being elected vice-presi-dents. Mr. T. S. Hickey was appointed secretary and treasurer, Mr. A. F. Neilson delegate to the union,- and Mr. F. Mason club captain. AppreclaTive reference was macro to the past work of Mr. Neilson as delegate to the union, and in recognition thereof a unanimous vote of thanks was accorded him. Mr. Npilson suitably responded.
A vote of thanks was accorded to Mr. E. Coad, the retiring secretary.
The following committees were appointed: General, Messrs. G. King, R. B. Bowman, E. Wallis, K. Ifwerson, E. Whitman, J. Carter, and R. O’Rorke; grounds, Messrs. F. Julian. T. S. Hickey, and E. J. Wallis; senior selectors, Messrs. G. King, F. Julian, and K. Ifwerson; junior selectors, Messrs. P. B. Holmes and E. Whitham; coach, Mr. K. Ifwerson. Members’ subscriptions were fixed at £1 for seniors and 10s for juniors.
Mr. F. Des Forges intimated that te would present the first match ball.
Some discussion took place relative to arranging an end of the season tpur. The delegate was instructed to approach the union upon the matter.
