WEDDING.

HUNTER—MEAD. A wedding of considerable local interest took place in the Presbyterian Church. Manaia, on Wednesday. The Rev. ,J. D. Sraith officiated, and the contracting parties were Jin H. C. Hunter, of the staff of the. Bank of Australasia, Hawera, and Miss Dorothy M.

Mead, of. Manaia. The bride was given away by her father, and was attended by her sister, Miss M. M. Mead, and Miss C. Hunter, of Stratford, a sister of the bridegroom. Mr. G. D. Hunter acted as be® man, with Mr. H. H. Mead as groomsman. The bride’s dress was of white satin charmeuse, the long corsage being held in place by ornaments and decorated with crystal bugles, the skirt being draped with two frills of georgette edged with crystal bugles. The bridal veil was held by a wreath of tiny silver leaves and orange blossoms. The bride carried a beautful shower bouquet of gypsophila, asparagus fern, and roses.. The bridesmaids’ dresses were of apricot taffeta silk made with panel effect over a kilted underskirt, the panels being held in place with tiny clusters of rosebuds. The bridesmaids’ hats were of black velvet, with streamers, and they each carried beautiful bouquet of autumn leaves, gypsophila, and "flowers to blend. The bride’s mothere wore a costume of nigger brown gabardine. The popularity of the bride and bridegroom wits shown by the array of wedding presents which they received. After partaking of the wedding breakfast at the residence of the bride’s parents the happy couple left for a honeymoon trip to the Auckland district, the bride travelling in a costume of saxe blue velor cloth, with black panne velvet hat.— Star..
