The scores at the afternoon interval were McConachy 15,141 ana Reece 14,997 During the evening Reece regained the lead, and then defaulted, declaring he must catch a train. McConachy was declared the winner amid a scene in which the crowd hissed Reece. The scores were:— McConachy 15,605, Reece 15,606.—Au5.-N.Z. Cable Assn. SMITH AND NEWMAN WIN. London,' Feb. 5. Smith reached 16,000 while Falkiner was 15,828! Newman 16,000, including a break of 431; taman 14,717, including a break of 351.
