WAREA. (From Our Own Correspondent.) A farewell social was tendered to Miss A. Fleming at Warea on Friday. A very large number of friends and well-wishers attended. During tha evening the committee in charge o? the fNW made a presentation on behalf of poM ef the school children and other friends, ft taking the form of a very handsome gold wristlet watch, and Miss R. Muir, on behalf of the school children,,-presented Miss Fleming with a leather writing case. Miss Fleming suitably responded and made a capital little speech. Earlier in the month, an energetic ladies’ committee —Mesdames Fowles, E. Johns, F. Johns, C. W. Corbett, F. Sole, and Miss Corbett—organised the annual plain and fancy dress children’s party, which was a very successful gathering. Parents most kindly provided a bounteous supper, and many friends helped with the 'music and with songs and The Warea-Puniho Guild purpose holding a "cobweb” social and dance about the middle of February.
