UNREST IN INDIA.
SITUATION SERIOUS. WIDESPREAD DISORDER FEARED. Received Jan. 31, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 30. The Australian Press learns that official cables from India * foreshadow serious developments should the threatened civil disobedience campaign, due to start on January 31, Spread to other areas besides Badoli and Tuluk. It is stated that the mass of inflammable material is so great that the possibility of widespread disturbances in the near future cannot be ignored.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
