PERSONAL.

The Hon. W. H. Mclntyre, M.L.C.. and Mrs. Mclntyre, who have beer spending a short holiday with friends in New Plymouth, left for Wellington yesterday morning. Mr. Wm. Goodfellow, managing director of the New Zealand Co-opera-tive Dairy Company, is on his way back to the Dominion from England. Mr. J. G. Harkness has recently been somewhat seriously ill at his residence in Wellington. The Rev. J. L. Dove, who was at one time vicar of Hunterville, and was more recently headmaster ,of Wanganui Collegiate School, has been appointed rural Dean of Newport Pagnell, Bucks, in succession to the Rev. F. B. Gunnery. For some time past Mr. Dove has been rector of North Crawley. The Rev. A. /C. Seivewright, a former minister of the New Plymouth Baptist Church, and Mrs. and Miss Sei fewright, have been spending their holidays in New Plymouth after an absence of two years.

Mr. Veal, stationmaster at Stratford, and Mr. Bennett, stationmaster at Inglewood, are retiring on superannuation. Pending the appointment of their successors, Messrs. E. J. Guthrie and Campbell are relieving at Stratford and Eltham respectively.
