VITAL STATISTICS.

INCREASE IN BIRTHS. LAST MONTH’S FIGURES. The number of births in New Plymouth in January was 54, an increase of 21 compared with the corresponding month of 1921. Marriages were less than half of last January’s total. There were two more deaths than were experienced in the previous January. Of the ten persons who died five had passed /the “allotted span” of three score and ten, two being octagenarians. Last month’s figures are:
