WEEKLY PRESS COMPETITION,

WON BY TECHNICAL COLLEGE. The cadet shooting competition for the Weekly Press Challenge Shield has been won by New Plymouth Technical College (Noy' 89 Company;. 13ie competition is' open to all cadet companies in the North Island, and the winners secured an average score of 66.1 out of a possible of 68. New Plymouth Boys’ High School (No. 110 Company) are second with 6.5.8. and Wellington College are third with 64.7. Eleven teams competed* Last year the shield was won by New Plymouth High School with a score of 67.1. The success of the Technical College team under their eftaeh (Lieutenant Crimp) adds further to the list of honors attained by New Plymouth teams in rifle shooting. The details ot the Technical College scores show that two members of the tenm scored possibles. The supervising officer was Lieutenant L. W. Andrew, V.C.
