The New York Times’ Washington correspondent, states President Harding expects to introduce the Conference treaties in the Senate as soon as vney arc completed, and hopes for ratification without a prolonged debate. He believes the country is behind the Conference.

Article nineteen and Shantung are still hanging fire, but all that is needed is the final word from Tok io and Pekin. Hope for a speedy end of the Conference is still maintained. Mr. Balfour, it is understood, has engaged his passage for February 7. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
