THE WOOL MARKET. COOD SALE AT LONDON By Telegraph.—l’reas Assn CoDj-rlchV Received Jan. 26, 7.25 p.m. London, Jan. 25. At the mixed wool sale there wa® good general competition. Crossbreds and slipes were firm and unchanged, while merinos were strong. Home and the Continent were buying freely, the United States taking supers. New Zealand “Waihopai” 42d to 38d.—Aus.-N.Z Cable Assn. LONDON BUTTER AND CHEESE! MARKETS. The Bank of New Zealand, product department, has received the following advice from its London office under date January 24: “Butter market stronger, tendency upwards; current quotations, £7 5s per cwt. Cheese, white, £4 10s, £4 12s, colored £4 12s, £4 14s per cwt.” Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co. have received cabled advice from Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., London, regarding the dairy produce market-as follows: N.Z. butter, first grade, salted, 130 s to 135 s (128 s to 130 s); market firm. N.Z. first grade white cheese, 86s to 88s (84s to 86s); first grade ! colored cheese, 88s to 90s \B6a to 88s) | 1 market.
