CHARGE OF THEFT.
JOHN ARBUCKLE ARRESTED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Jan. 25. The police state that John Arbuckle, exsecretary of the Miners* Federation, has been arrested in New South Wales on a charge of theft of sums of money belonging to the federation and Broken Hill funds. It is said that the sum runs into several thousands of pounds. A constable is leaving Wellington for Sydney to bring accused back.
