DRAGGED INTO RIVER. By Telegraph.—Press AsaoclaUon. Invercargill, Last NighU A young man named Walter Wright was drowned in the Wyndham Rivet this morning. He was assisting hit employer, J. B. Taylor, to cart stakes when the horses ran back, throwing Um dray into the river, whidi was deep at the spot. Taylor’s little son was is the dray, but was thrown clear by his father, but the two men went down with the dray. Taylor managed to reach the bank, but Wright was not seen again and was probably pinned under the dray. Two of the horses were drowned. The police are dragging for Wright’s body.
