AUCKLAND STOCK MARKET. By Telegraph.—’’teas Association Auckland, Last Night. At the Westfield beef market to-day there was an improved demand and a good yarding. Last week’s values were easily sustained, and in some instances exceeded. Extra choice ox made 255; choice prime 19s to 245; ordinary and plain 17s to 18s; prime young cow and heifer 19s to 235; ordinary cow 15s to 18s. Steers ranged from £lO to £ll 7s 6d; lighter prime £7 15s to £9. Sheep. —A moderate entry and a very keen sale with a sharp rise from 3s to 5s per head. Extra heavy prime wethers 19s to 20s 3d; medium heavy prime 16s 6d to 18s 9d; heavy prime ewes 17s to 18s 9d; lighter 14s to 16s 9cL
Lambs.—Large numbers readily bought at a further advance in value. Heavy prime made 17s 9d to 19s Gd; lighter 15s to 17s Gd.
Calves. —An average yarding of fat and young calves, with a fair demand ar values as at last week.
Fat pigs.—A large yarding and keener demand. Values were firm at last quotations. Medium to heavy baconers made £2 17s 6d to £3 3s; heavy porkers to light baconers £2 5s to 555; light to medium porkers 25s to 40s; weaners 5s to 9s.
