DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs. Joseph Nathan and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable from their London house: Salted butter, 135 s to 138 s; cheese, white 86s to 88s, colored 90s. Both markets g°°d. A London cable, dated January 21, received by Mr. R. W. D. Robertson, gave the following quotations for New Zealand dairy produce: Butter. —Salted, 1355; unsalted, 160 s. Cheese.—White, 86s to 88s; colored, 90s to 925. . Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, are in receipt of the following advices under date January 20, from their London o ffi ce; —Butter: Good demand, prices firm. Danish, nominal; quotations, 190 s. Finest Australian, unsalted, 128 s to 1325, salted 120 s Io 1265; secondary 106 s to 118 s; inferior, 84s to 104 s. New Zealand, finest 130 s to 1355; secondary, 120 s to 126 s Cheese: Market firm. Australian, colored 84s to 86s, white 82s to 84s. New Zealand, colored 88s to 90s, white Bfts to 88s.

LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. The Loan find Mercantile Agency Co. (Hawera branch) report as follows: At Kakaramea on Monday we had only a small entry. We quote: Good conditioned cows, £2 Ils to £3 9s; works cows, £1 15s to £2; bulls, £1 19s to £2 19s; Jersey weaner heifers (well grown), £3; store pigs, 15s. At Eltham on Wednesday the market showed an improvement, particularly for sheep. We quote: Lambs (good stores), 5s lOd to 8s 8d; lambs (small), 3s 8d; fat and forward ewes, 8s; fat heifers, to £4 14s; forward cows, £2 to £2 15s; boners, 10s to £1 ss.

At Hawera oh Thursday we had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. Bidding was brisk and the market showed a better tone throughout. Fat and forward heifers, £4 8s; fat cows (medium), to £4 7s; forward cows, to £3 16s; fair conditioned cows, £2 5s to £2 18s; works cows, 13s to £2; Jersey 18-month in-calf heifer, £7 ss; Jersey cow and calf, £7 10s; 15-month heifers (good colors), £2 5s to £3; Jersey weaner heifers (small), £3.
