EGMONT SHOW.

OPENS TO-DAY.

The Egmont A. and P. Show opens on the Hawera show grounds to-day. The show provides entertainment for all classes of the community. This year a .tumber of competitions usually held on the second day are being held this afternoon. The sheep dog trial is being held to-day at noon, for which large entries have been received, a keen in ? terest being taken in this event. The space allocated for trade exhibits, sideshows, etc., has been taxed to its fullest extent to provide for the host of applications received, and a wide variety of these exhibits will be shown. Th* Hawera Citizens’ Band has been engaged for the show, and a first-class musical programme has been arranged.
