ENTERTAINMENTS.
CHILDREN’S CONCERT. The children’s concert which is to take place in the Empire Theatre on Wednesday and Thursday, February 1 and 2, promises to be a most enjoyable entertainment. Mr. Hoskin (the organiser) has had several very successful rehearsals, including one in the Empire on Saturday afternoon, when the children carried out their various parts in a most creditable manner. Patrons can now look forward to seeing one of the finest programmes of this kind ever seen in New Plymouth. It is of a varied nature, consisting of songs, recitations, solos, duets, trios, quartette selection, fancy dancing by senior and junior girls, comic songs, etc. Mrs. George’s orchestra will assist. The which are on sale from members of the band, the children and Messrs. H. R. Cattley and J. Hoskin, are selling splendidly. All those who have bought tickets are kindly requested to present them at the box with the tax. There will be no extra charge for reserving 3/- seats. The box plan will be opened St Collier’s in the course of a few day».
Nelson Moate’s teas are blended by an expert of many years’ experience, and contain only the choicest of hill-grown leaves. Ask your grocer for Nelson Moate’s brands. The overwhelming experience of thousands testifies to the value di Nazol, as an effective cure for coughs, colds, sore throats, etc. Sharland’s Tomato Sauce makes a good addition to Soups and Gravies. It makes them richer and more appetising.
