VISCOUNT BRYCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Jan. 22. The death is announced of Viscount Bryce, formerly British Ambassador at Washington till 1913. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. The late Viscount Bryce, who was 83, was for nearly a quarter of a century professor of civil law at Oxford. His political career was a notable one; he sat in two Liberal Cabinets, his most important office being Chief Secretary fob Ireland. He is the author of well-known books.
