At the amateur cycling carnival, in the Victorian quarter-mile championship, Kaltenbrun (South Africa) won the first heat in 32 2-ssec. —a Victorian record. Thursfield (South Africa) Towered this by winning the second heat in 32 l-ssec. Thursfield won the final in 31sec.— a Victorian record. Thursfield was also matched against Broadbent over a quarter mile, half mile, and mile, all of which the Victorian won.

The ten miles scratch race was won by Kaltenbrun from Broadbent in 27 min. 2see.
