LOSS ON RAILWAYS.
NO REDUCTION IN FREIGHT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Replying to a question in the House this afternoon the Minister for Railways (Hon. D. H. Guthrie) said the railways were losing £4OOO per day. It is impossible, therefore, to consider any reduction in freights.
