WELLINGTON WOOL SALES. GOOD RISE IN VALUES. By Telegraph. —Pres* Association Wellington, Jan. 16. At the wool sales there was the oldtime animation. American buyers dominated the medium crossbred markets, which advanced a penny .half-penny on December prices. Merinos sold well up to last sale rates at 17%d, also medium halfbreds which ranged from 9Jd to 10|d, coarse halfbreds from 9d to lOJd; good quality fine crossbreds three half-pence higher, average crossbred a halfpenny above December Wellington prices. Lambs’ wool showing quality was wanted by France, up to B%d. Bellies and pieces (good) were in active demand up to |d premium on December sales. A fine selection of wool was offered, the total being 20,000 bales.
