TOUR OF SOUTH AFRICANS. PERFORM AT WELLINGTON. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The visiting South Africans appeared at an evening meeting to-night and gave a fair showing. Johnston, scratch in the 440 yards, ran a beautiful race and won by ten yards in 50 2-ssecs, which equals the New Zealand record. Bukes and Kinsman, scratch, were narrowly beaten in the 220 yards by Rowe (Syds) in 23secs. Kinsman just beat Bukes for second place. In a heat for the 100 yards Oosterlaak (scratch) dead-heated with Richardson (44 yards). The second heat was won by 18 inches by White (9yds) in lOsecs. Final: White 1, Anderson 2 Hili 3, Oosterlaak 4. Time, lOsecs. ’Africa beat Wellington decisively in the 440 yards relay race, their system of massing the stick gaining considerable ground.
