It was a fast wicket and the outfield was keen, the conditions favoring the batsmen. The visitors scored 214 (Buckett 84, Harvey 56, Golding 28, Taylor 21, Back 27, Gill 24 not out). Extras totalled 41. Dacre took four wickets for 64, Goodwin three for 66. New Zealand made 226 (Dacre 95, Meige 62. Goodwin 17). Bowling: Harvey 1 for 25. O’Neill 4 for 83, sVatsoiv.3 \ or 49, Gill 2 for 19.
