The Northern Company received a message from Onehunga last night stating that the Rarawa crossed the bar at 7.50 p.m. It is therefore expected that she will not connect with the early train for the south, but will probably be In time for the second. | CORINNA TO-DAY. The Corinna (U.S.S. Co.), was scheduled to leave Nelson at 5 o’clock yesterday afternoon for New Plymouth, where she is due this morning. The vessel will have about 1000 tons of general cargo to land. The Corinna will load southern cargo to-murrow, and is expected to sail south again that evening. PORT ALBANY DELAYED. Messrs. Collett and Co. advise that, the Port Albany is not now expected to arrive at New Plymouth for Homeward loading untl Monday, January 23. KAHIKA’S MOVEMENTS. Tho Kahiku arrived at Wellington on Sun day from Lyttelton, and was dispatched earl] yesterday morning for Dunedin. KAIKOURA’S MOVEMENTS. The Kaikoura left Dunedin on Saturdaymorning for Oamaru and Wellington, and should reach Wellington on Saturday next. The vessel will go on to New Plymouth, Wanganui, and Napier, and will subsequently return to Wellington to fill up, sailing finally early in February for the West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. PALOONA FOR WELLINGTON. The Paloona, from Melbourne, is due at Wellington to-day, and will be dispatched in the evening for Lyttelton and Dunedin. The vessel will lay up at the latter port for survey. WIRELESS FROM RIMUTAKA. A wireless message received on Saturday from the liner Rimutaka, en route from Southampton, advised that the vessel could be expected to arrive at Wellington early this morning. The Rimutaka will land North Island passengers at Wellington, and be dispatched in the evening for Lyttelton. MAHENO FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company’s intercolonial passenger steamer Maheno arrived at Wellington at 12.15 p.m. on Sunday from Sydney direct. The Maheno brought 220 saloon and 160 steerage passengers, and 599 tons of cargo, including 558 for Wellington, 1 for Patea, and 5 fo- New Plymouth. THE CANADIAN CRUISER. Tlie Canadian Cruiser, the largest and latest ship of the Canadian Government Merchant Marine, arrived at. Auckland on Thursday. Tie Canadian Cruiser has 1200 tons of general cargo and 160.000 cases of benzine. After part discharge she will sail today or to-morrow for Wellington and Australian ports. Built, at Halifax, and commissioned last November, the ship is of 7177 ton-, gross, with shelter decks, passenger accommodation and very comfortable quarters. She bums oil fuel, and during the voyage averaged 10.9 knots, although she did 14 knots on her trials. There Is insulated space with refrigerating machinery to carry 2000 torr, of cargo.
