DOMINION TOURNAMENT. DETAILS OF SATURDAY’S PLAY. - ■ .*• By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The weather was fine on Saturday for the Dominion 'bowling tournament. With one exception al] the sections winners were found in the pairs competition and in several cases the green winners were also there. There were two sections at each green section. The winners at the St. Clair green were Casey and Parsons (Ponsonby), Scott and Ussher (Timaru and Kai* tuna), Hodgins and Hollis (Lyttelton). Balmacewan green—Noyes and Waddell (Timaru), Omand and Wright (Balmacewan). West Harbor green—Kinvig and Cooper (Linwood), Jones and Isaac (Caledonian). Kaikorai green —Johnson and Hutchison (Dunedin), Watson and Clarkson (Carlton). Caledonian green—Ashley and West (Edgeware), Smith and Murray (Caledonian). Dunedin green—iSeott and Hogg (Dunedin), Pairman and Sandstone (Christchurch). Roslyn green—Newburgh and Fraser (Christchurch), Thomson and Essen (Hastings). North East Valley green—Brackenridge and Brackenridge (Newtown), Foster and Fountain (Caversham). Otago green—Ashman and Bengie (Canterbury), Brown and Shepherd (Kaitun). Mornington green—Daubney and Smith (North End), Todd and Thomson (Caversham). Green Island green—Wilkinson and Brown (Caversham), Cutt and Hain (North End). Caversham green—'Bell and Eiardie (Mornington), Watson and Suhan (Phoenix).
Green winners were:—Balmacewan Wright; Kaikorai, Hutchison; NorthEast Valley, Brackenridge; Caversham, Suhan.
There was heavy rain all day to-day and the prospects are not promising for to-morrow.
SAT U RDA Y’S MATCH EB. NEW PLYMOUTH A v, B. Under ideal weather conditions the second round of the competitions was commenced on Saturday afternoon. On the town green an enjoyable game, in which ten rinks took part, resulted in the defeat of the B team by 25 points, although in each of the sections five rinks secured a win.
