The scores at the close of play yesterday in the billiard match between McConachy and Reece, in their match of 16,000 up, were as follow: McConachy (rec. 1000) .... 14,101 Reece (scratch) 12,870 McConachy"s best break was 219 and Reece's best was 128. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. TOURNAMENT IN ENGLAND. THE LATEST SCORES. Received Jan. 15. 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 14. The latest scores in the. billiard tournament are: — Falkiner is playing brilliantly in the second match of the series of three against Newman. After a moderate beginning he averaged 358 in one session and 222 in another. His best breaks were 456 and 417. Newman, with a succession of good breaks, including 538, 419 and 343. made up ground lost in the early stages. The scores are: — Falkiner 0119, Newman 5970.

Smith v. Inman.—The scoring was indifferent and several sessions ended with both behind their points. They complained about the running of the balls, which were twice changed in one session. Smith, with a break of 482, secured the lead to-day after being behind since starting on Monday. The scores are: Smith 5786, Inman 5252. — Aus.-NX Cable Assn.
