SEVENTH DAY ADVENTISTS.
YESTERDAY’S PROCEEDINGS. A PROHIBITION DELEGATION. A little variation was supplied in the regular programme at the camp meeting yesterday morning, when a delegation' from the New Zealand Temperance Alliance visited the eamp._ The members of the delegation consisted of the Rev. Mr. Martin. Rev. Mr. Collins, Mr. Maunder and Mr. Cocker. After Pastor Cormack, the President of the Conference, had welcomed the delegation, the Rev. Mr. Martin addressed the large audience which filled the marquee, thanking the delegates for the assistance to the Alliance in the past, and soliciting the continuance of their co-opera-tion in the fight for prohibition. Toe Rev Mr. Collins foUowed with a speech, in which he spicily characterised tho delegation as consisting of a high churchman and a broad churchman, representing also consecrated wealth and dedi vated noverty. Pastor Anderson moved the following vote of thanks to the delegation- ’"That this conference hereby express its thanks to the delegates from the New Zealand Temperance Alliance, and X this opportunity of assuring them of our hearty sympathy wi.h them in their fight for P ro ?»hit>on and of pledging to labor earnestly and whole-heartedly for the abolition ot the liquor traffic from the P° m ™°£; r This motion was seconded by Pastor Kent, and, on being put to the meet line was carried unanimously.
