REVERTS TO FORMER TITLE. TEE ELECTION CAMPAIGN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A meeting of the Liberal Party was held this morning, every member being present. The following resolutions were carried:— (1) That owing to the widespread demand the party should revert to the name by which it was known under the leadership of the late Mr. R. J. Seddon and go to the country at next general election as the Liberal-Labor Party. (2) That two organisers be appointed, one for the North Island and one for the South Island. (3) That a conference of delegates representative of the party throughout New Zealand be held in Wellington prior to the next session. (4) That a committee be appointed to consider .the names of candidates now offering with a view to an early selection after consultation with local supporters in the constituencies concerned. (5) That this meeting expresses its appreciation of the manner in which Mr. T. M. Wilford has carried out his duties as leader qf the party and reaffirms its loyalty to him. Mr. Wilford stated that it was his intention to visit as many of the electorates as possible during the recess and members expressed readiness to undertake platform work.
