A “GOLDEN” OPPORTUNITY. £4OO NUGGET. Tickets are selling fast for the Wellington Plunket Home Art Union. The object of the Art Union is, in itself, enough to sell a great number of tickets, but such a prize as a £4OO gold specimen is, of course, a great additional attraction. £.300 worth of this splendid prize is the gift of a generous friend of the Wellington Plunket Society, Mr. J. R. McKenzie.

Great efforts are being made in Wellington by different local bodies to raise sufficient monpy to purchase, equip and maintain a Plunket headquarters that will be a credit to the city. Already enough has been collected to enable the society to make the initial payments on a suitable property in Kent Terrace. Here, it is hoped that mothers and prospective mothers will be able to enjoy privacy and comfort, whilst seeking the advice and help of the Plunket nurses. There is plenty of room in t'he new quarters for proper conveniences and facilities, and complete accommodation for perambulators and push-carts. Furnishing is the next thing to be done. It will take a good deal of money to equip the new home —a lot more to finish paying for the property and to maintain the institution.

The Plunket Society is depending upon this Art Union to bring in a substantial portion of the money still needed, and everyone who can afibrd 2/6 for a ticket’ is urged to purchase straight

Tickets can be obfctiined from the hon. secretary, the Phinket rooms, bank of N.S.W. Chambers, Wellington; from all J. R. McKenzie’s fancy goods shops, and from tobacconists, hairdressers, and stores everywhere.
