TRANSPORT SPRINGS A LEAK.
URGENT CALL FOR HELP. VESSEL NOT IN DANGER By Telegraph.—-Press Assn.—Copyrigtt. New York, Jam 11. Boston reports that the Americas transport Crooke, carrying soldiers from Antwerp to New York, eprang a leak 600 miles off land. She sent 8.03. calls asking for immediate assistance, and several vessels are hurrying to ths scene. * LATER.
The Crooke has wirelessed, that the leaks have been temporarily stopped, and the pumps are keeping pace witfe the water. The vessel is thought to be in no danger, though facing a terrifle storm. There are 1000 people on board.
