DOMINION TOURNAMENT. " OPENING DAY’S PLAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The ninth annual championship tournament of thfe New Zealand Bowling Association commenced to-day with the singles. The weather was cold and rain the previous day and night rendered the grass heavy, necessitating a delay in the start of play. One hundred and ninety eight players are competing in the singles, which were played on eleven greens. For the pairs competition, which .will be played on Friday and Saturday, there are 208 entries, and. for the rinks, which commence on Monday, 110 teams are competing.
