The Victorian gold yield for the past year was 104,512 ounces fine, a decrease of 48,280 ounces compared with the previous year. WESTFIELD STOCK MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the Westfield beef market to-day there was a falling off in demand. All classes suffered, a drop. Extra choice ox brought £1 3s; choice and prime 19s to £1 Is; prime yonng cow and heifer 16s to £1 Is; ordinary cow and heifer 16s to £1 's; ordinary cow 12s to 15s. Heavy prime steers ranged >n price from £8 10s to £9 7s 6d; lightei prime £6 10s to £8; light prime £o to £«; plain and unfinished £3 10s to £4 15s; heavy prime young cows and heifers £3 10s to £7; heavy fat cows £4 to £5; lighter £2 10s to £3 15s; other cows £1 5s to .£3 7s 6d; bulls £1 to £2. Sheep.—A fair yarding with prices at late rates. Pig S> — a fair demand. Choppers and baconers brought £1 L2s to £3 bs 6d. AUCKLAND SHARK MARKET. Auckland, Last Night.
