Extremist agitation is still rife in Calcutta, and numerous arrests have been made. Some of the leaders have been heavily sentenced at , Allahabad. Many of the extremists apologised openly to the Government, promising to refrain from agitation in the future, and they were consequently released. — Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
