KING’S CINEMA THEATRE, 1 TO-NIGHT.
“THE JACKEROO OE' COOLABONG.” It is claimed that Messrs. E. J. and Dan Carroll’s latest Australian “Snowy” Baker picture “The Jackeroo of Coolabong,” which is to be shown at the King’s Theatre on Monday only, repre- ) sents another advance in the film-mak- ' ing industry in Australia. “The Jackexoo of Coolabong,” which is the last “Snowy” Baker production to be made in Australia, is said to be chock-full of good things. It includes a big kangaroo hunt, a stirring aboriginal rising, a sensational fight between the jackeroo and a gang of roughs; riding wild brumbies ( in the Australian bush, and a thrilling dive from a four-storey window into Sydney harbor. These, and innumerable other sensational incidents, link up a sweet and simple bush story, with Mr. Baker as the hero, and Miss Kathleen Keys as the heroine. The other charac- ( ters are true to type, and the picturesIque scenery eclipses anything yet shown in Australian pictares. In addition to “The Jackeroo of Coolabong,” an all , Australian two-reel comedy will be shown, depicting life on an up-country dairy farm, with Tai Ordell as the chief comedy cow-spanker.
