MURDER MYSTERY.
FRUITLESS POLICE EFFORTS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn’.—Copyright. Received Jan. 8, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 7. The Bournemouth police have made untiring but fruitless efforts to find the murderer of Miss Wilkins, who was murdered in a mysterious manner. They have conducted a house to house search, and have also compared the writing of the telegrams with that of every holder of a bank account in the district, believing the murderer may be an educated man masquerading as a chauffeur and purposely making the spelling mistakes in the tele-grams.—Aus.-N.Z.
