“This class of case leads me to think that the State should provide a home half-way between the gaol and the asylum, where one might commit aged and indigent persons,” said Mr. Wyvern Wilson. S.M., at the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch, when dealing with an old woman who had wandered away from home and was charged with vagrancy. The Magistrate pointed nut that those in charge of the present homes for the aged -had no authority to sto-p the. inmates from leaving. A home with some authority was required. One of Sydney’s most eharming and best-known society women, who has acted in motion pictures as a diversion, appeared in the -Court the other week, when her husband, Henry Hill Osborne, asked for a restitution of conjugal rights (says the Sydney correspondent of the Auckland Star). The evidence showed that Mrs. Osborne was married in 1912. and that her maiden name was Lord. She was under age when married, and was considered to be one of the most beautiful girls in Sydney. The young wife did not like the country life, and although her husband bought another station to please her, and gave her a holiday to America, she was dissatisfied. and wanted, to live in Sydney. The husband had appealed to her no end of times, asking -her to return to the farm, if only for the sake of the child. But she preferred to live in Sydney, and was under engagement to appear in an important moving picture which was being produced. The Judge directed Mrs. Osborne to return to her husband within 21 days, WELL DONE! “My removal was excellent! lam delighted!” This was the brief pleasin<r message from a client whose furniare we “shifted.” We shall be pleasdto handle yours too.
