Adjutant Wheeler and Ensign Marshall, the officers in charge of the Hawera Salvation Army, have received farewell orders, and are being tranxferred to Eltham. The new officers for Hawera are Adjutant and Mrs. Doran (natives of Wanganui). Some years ago the Adjutant was in charge of Hawera as captain. Since then he has been in command of a number of leading Australian corps, and lately at Newmarket, Auckland.
The death took place at Hawera on New Year's Day of Mre. Robertson, wife of Mir. Gj. Robertson, of Okai&wa, manager of the T. L. Joll Co.’s motor garage, and formerly a guard on the New Plymouth-Wanganui railway. Deceased was well respected by a larg'w circle of friends in Hawera and Okaiawa, and her death at a comparatively early age is sincerely regretted. The cause of death was heart failure. She leaves besides her husband, three young children.
