WEDDING.

SHEAT—-PARROTT. A very pretty but quiet wedding of interest took place in St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, on Wednesday last, when Miss Mavis Parrott, eldest daughter of Mr. E. Parrott, formerly of Eltham, was married to Mr. J. H. Sheat, eldest son of Mr. J. Sheat, of Hawera. The Rev. J. G. Castle, of Eltham, officiated, and Mr. Renaud, organist of St. Mary’s, presided at the organ. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr. W. Sheat, of Hawera. The bride looked very dharming in a dress of white satin charmeuse and georgette trimmed with lace and beads, and a court train lined with apricot tinted georgette. The orthodox bridal veil was worn. The bridesmaid, Miss L. Parrott, was attired very prettily in a gown of apricot silk crepe, and wore a charming picture hat of black tulle with streamers of apricot ribbon The bride and bridesmaid carried bouquets of beautiful roses and lilies. The bride’s mother wore a coat frock of grey gabardine braided with black, and a hat of saxe l)lue silk with Oriental trimming, asndi carried aj bouquet of Oriental colors. The bridegroom’s mother wore a mole colored crepe de chine dress, and a black tagel straw hat. After the ceremony the happy young couple left by motor en route for the North, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling costume was a smart tailored champagne velor cloth with crocheted vest, and she wore a very becoming toque of gr«en silk.—-Argus.
