Mr. Herbert Gifford Moore, one of Palmerston North’s best known cifiizens, passed away on Thursday at the age of s'B years. Mr. and Mrs. Little, of Bunnythbrpe, celebrated their golden wedding on Sunday last. They were married at Rangiora, Canterbury, on December 25. 1871. We join in the congratulations tendered by their numerous friends, and wish Mr. and Mrs. Little many happy returns of their wedding anniversary. Following Sir Andrew Russell’s lead two more" announcements have been ’made of intention to contest the I Hawke’s Bay seat at next general election.
