LONDON MARKET REPORT. ( Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of December 22: — Butter.—Owing to holidays home and foreign produce exchange prices were announced yesterday as follow: Today’s prices 6s to 8s lower, but there are indications of a. steadier market after Christmas. There is a fair demand at irregular prices. Danish, 174 s to 1765; Australian, finest unsalted 130 s ■ to 1365, salted 118 s to 1245, secondary 110 s to 116 s, inferior 96s to 'lo4s; New Zealand, first grade, salted 140 s to 14>5s, secondary 125 s to 130 s. Government schedule withdrawn. Their asking prices are: Finest New Zealand, 13Os; finest Australian, 112 s; but small sales are being made at fully 12s h?ss. Cheese. —Market very quiet.
