OLD MAN FOUND DEAD. . By Telegraph—Press Association. Pahiatua, Dex.. 28. Samuel Scott, aged 78, was found dead in his whare at Mangamutu yesterday. Ho had no relatives in the Dominion. and has been over 30 years in the district. MISSING MEN. Auckland, Dec. 28. The dead body of Arthur Taylor, who has been missing from Riverhead, has been found in the river. Philip Holoman. a single man aged 25, a billiard saloon keeper, has been missing since 8.45 p.m. on Thursday. HAMILTON ACCIDENTS. Hamilton, Dec. 28. Herbert ’Edward Motershaw, aged 8, when attempting to mount a lorry, fell, and the wheel passed over his head. He was killed instantly. A LABORER’S DEATH. Dunedin, Dec. 28. The police have been advised that Reuben ,Smith a laborer, aged twenty, was found dead at Becks with his throat ent and a blood-stained razor at his side.
